I thought I had taken this shot from the 103 bus... it was taken this past summer , July 25th to be exact.
But I discovered today (Sept 19) that it is the corner of Houston and Allen so I was on the M15. The fact that I was on the bus gave me this particular angle.. One shot out the window. I don't know what the artwork was about - but that "canvas" has been painted over with something else... though in a similar
style, it had a totally different mood.
The Cranes are Flying - as 51 Astor Place is being built. Points of info. The building on the left is Cooper Union, don't know the name of the glass tower in the middle, which is less than 10 years old. The building on the far right is the old Wanamaker Annex - build in 1902. The building that the cranes are working on here is already so high it hides the older building from view from the east.
